Registration

During your visit at Deira Private School, parents should complete the application form.

INTERVIEW & ASSESSMENT


  • Upon receipt of Application Form, you will be informed at once or contacted by the admission office to set an Interview with the Principal or FS Coordinator or given an Assessment date. Please note to bring a copy of a current School Report of your child.
  • On a scheduled date, the students are interviewed or assessed on their English& Maths skills. The assessment will take about one (1) hour.
  • To proceed with the assessment, AED 500 assessment fee must be paid. Please note that it is Non-Refundable regardless of the result of the assessment.
  • FS students are interviewed and observed by the Principal of FS Coordinator. Please note that FS students are required to fully toilet trained.

RESULT OF ASSESSMENT


  • Acceptance to Deira Private School will depend upon the results of the assessment, student interview and previous school history. You will be advised of the status either by phone, by email or in person.

ADMISSION & REGISTRATION


Once you received an admission offer from Deira Private School, the following is required to start the process of registering the student —

The following documents are required immediately to facilitate the registration of your child with the Ministry of Education and to complete the registration:

  • Registration form filled with authentic information
  • 8 photographs of the child (passport size with white background)
  • 2 copies of child’s Birth Certificate
  • 2 copies of child’s passport and residence visa
  • 2 copies of the parents’ passport and residence visa (family book copy for Emirati)
  • Recent School Report
  • 2 copies of National ID (back to back)
  • Original Immunisation Card
  • Original Transfer Certificate

AUTHENTICITY OF TRANSFER CERTIFICATE


Transferring within the UAE: For children transferring schools from within UAE or GCC countries the following is required: An Arabic Transfer Certificate from the child’s present school is required. This must be stamped by the present school and Ministry of Education in the Emirate / GCC country which you are leaving.

Transferring from outside the UAE: For children coming from outside UAE and GCC, a transfer letter prepared by the child’s present school. This letter must state: the period of attendance noting start and leaving dates, the class/ grade your child was in when he/ she left the school, the class/ grade your child would have progressed to in the next term/ academic year. This letter must be on a school letterhead and signed and stamped by the principal/ head teacher.
